Janet L. (Koeberlein) Koynock

Janet L. (Koeberlein) Koynock, 89 of Bairdford, West Deer Township, passed Thursday March 27, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh with her family by her side. She was born December 16, 1935 in Etna to the late Ernest J. and C. Isabella (Love) Koeberlein. Janet grew up in Etna graduating from Etna High School in 1953. She worked at the former North Pittsburgh Telephone Company, Richland as a computer operator for over 10 years. Janet was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish West Deer, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the church Y&R, and Women’s Guild, AARP, West Deer Sr. Citizens Center and the Red Hatters Club of Penn Hills. She enjoyed arts and crafts, swimming, exercising, though she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years William P. Koynock, her children William P. Koynock , Jr. of West Deer, Brenda L. Bahr of Statesville, NC and Joni L. (Joseph) Hasper of Grove City, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Constance Koynock, and siblings Ernest J. Koeberlein, Jr and Alice E. Tymas.

Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where parting prayers will be conducted Saturday 11:30 am with a funeral mass following at 12 Noon in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Victor Church, Bairdford, West Deer Township. with the Rev. Frederick L. Cain, officiating. She will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
