John Cardinale

John Cardinale, 96 of Penn Hills, died Tuesday April 21, 2026 at the home of his daughter. He was born April 10, 1930 in Universal to the late Romeo and Emma (Maringo) Cardinale. John grew up and has lived in the Penn Hills area most of his life. He was a truck driver for Harker Road Trucking, working for them for over 40 years. John’s passions in life were helping everyone with projects, watching the Steelers and Pirates play.

Survivors include his daughter Sherry L. (Robert) Prill of West Deer, his grandchildren Robert (Jill) Prill of Buffalo Township, Michele (Brian) Benovitch of West Deer Township and Melissa (Aaron) Ferra of Indiana Township, his great-grandchildren Traia (Jake) Mehal of West Deer, Mason Prill, Cameron Prill, Alexandra Prill, Hayden Ferra, Parker Ferra and his great-great grandchildren Brooks, Ellliot and Keegan Mehal and his sister Yvonne (George) Carletti.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alice G. (Pollock) Cardinale, and 2 sisters and 4 Brothers.
