John Vescio Obituary

John T. Vescio, 79 of Russellton, West Deer Township, died Sunday April 3, 2022 at Concordia at Rebecca Residence, West Deer Township with his loved one by his side. He was born February 11, 1943 in Pittsburgh to the late Jerry and Elizabeth (Salvo) Vescio. John grew up in Verona, graduating from Verona High School in 1960. Shortly after graduating John was drafted and went to serve his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War achieving the rank of Sargent. John worked for Verona Motors, beginning as a mechanic and then was moved to Auto Sales, working for them for over 25 years. John enjoyed sports, especially the Steelers, visiting restaurants and cars.

Survivors include his life partner Bonnie J. Prokop, with whom he lived, his nephews Mario (Laurel) Brescia of NY and Frank (Laura) Brescia of Philadelphia, and his great niece Nicole.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Marie “Connie” Brescia.
