John "Jack" C. Rearick, Sr.

John C. “Jack” Rearick, Sr., 77 of Bairdford, West Deer Township, passed peacefully, December 1, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born November 30, 1945 in Harrison Township to the late Logan C. and Anna (Reekie) Rearick. Jack grew up in Bairdford where he has lived all of his life. He was a 1965 graduate of West Deer High School. Jack was a life time member of Bairdford United Methodist Church. He worked as a crane operator for the former Edgewater Steel Company in Oakmont for over 36 years. After retiring he worked in the summers for West Deer maintenance where you could see him cutting grass in the various parks around the township. He enjoyed the many friends he made along the way while playing golf and softball. Jack also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren but especially his loving wife. Jack was always there for his family and friends Everyone that knew Jack knew he was there to help with his gentle hands, kind spirit and loving heart. Jack’s sense of humor will leave us with lasting memories and his favorite phrase “What’s up Broski.”

Survivors include his wife of 57 years Stella (Nicolazzo) “Mizie” Rearick, his children Jacquelyn (Duke) Hirschfield of Richland, Shawn (Michael) McGuire of Richland, Rhonda (Frank) Evanson of Mars and John C. (Jaime) Rearick, Jr. of Middlesex Township, 6 grandsons Zachary, Jacob, Benjamin and Mathew Zoeller, Eamon McGuire and Santino Rearick; 1 great-granddaughter Nova Rae Zoeller, 5 step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Ronald and Greg Rearick and his sister Florence Martin.

Family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp., where services will be conducted on Tuesday 10 am.
