Joseph W. Juzwick

Joseph W. Juzwick, 71 of West Deer Township, died Wednesday November 22, 2023 at his home. He was born July 10, 1952 in Pittsburgh to the late Joseph and Georgianna (Sipple) Juzwick. Joe grew up in Florida graduating from High School in West Palm Beach, then achieving his engineering degree . He returned to Pittsburgh and worked at several area engineering firms, retiring from Orbital Engineering as a senior engineer. Joe also worked for Westinghouse, spending a lot of time working at the Beaver Valley Nuclear power plant. He was a former member of St. Rapheal Roman Catholic Church, Morning Side. He also completed work with EPS inc. in Biloxi Mississippi following hurricane Katrinia  in 2005, helping rebuild buildings in the area. Joe enjoyed his computer, setting up model train platforms and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Survivors include his children Michael W. Juzwick with whom he lived, Christina “Tina” (Douglas) Schomburg of West Deer and Matthew J. Juzwick of Shaler Township, grandchildren Samantha Schomburg, Dylan Schomburg, Halyley Schomburg, Abigail Juzwick and Alyssa Juzwick, his brother Michael Juzwick of Seattle, WA and his sister Kimberly (Ronald) Christie of North Hills area.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Diana Downing.

At Joe’s request all viewing and service are private. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the West Deer Food Bank, 292 East Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024, in his name.
