Joseph Scott Lardin

Joseph Scot Lardin, 87 of West Deer Township died Tuesday January 31, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot. He was born May 1, 1935 in Wayne Township, Armstrong County, to the late Ralph C. and Mildred L. (Patrick) Lardin. Scott was a 1953 graduate of West Deer High School. Scott served his country in the US Army. He worked for over 25 years for the Port Authority as a maintenance worker then went to work driving school bus for Hampton Township. He was a member of Deer Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene, West Deer, a life member of West Deer VFC #3, where he served as past Assistant Chief and past President. Scott enjoyed playing bingo and especially spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter`s Debra (Mark) Walewski and Tammy (Bob) Siceloff both of Curtisville; grandchildren Michael (Melissa) Walewski, Butler, Larry Hopper (fiance Brittany Dorn), Tarentum, Scott Hopper, Saxonburg, Amanda (Tony) Lardin & David Lardin both of Natrona, great-grandchildren Olivia, Ian, Kendall, Easton, Mathius, Jalynn, Nicole and Hunter, siblings Hattie Klinger of AZ, Matthew Lardin of NY, Paul Lardin of New Kensington and survived by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jane M. “Sue” (Thomas) Lardin, his son Dave Lardin June 15, 2003, his grandson Robert McCully and siblings Frank, Bill, Robert, Ralph, Edward Lardin, Lurella Swarmer, Esther Botson and Betty Guthrie.

Friends received Monday February 6th  from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where services will be conducted Tuesday 10 am, with the Rev. Richard E. Wise, officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
