Joyce A. (Palmer) McCurdy, 67 of West Deer Township, died Monday June 9, 2025 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler. She was born March 28, 1958 in Natrona Heights to the late George Palmer and Virginia M. (Peindl) Palmer of Sarver. Joyce has lived in West Deer all of her life. She was a member of the Deer Lakes High School, class of 1976. She worked as a care taker for Passavant Memorial Homes, West Deer and then in Harmarville for over 19 years. She was a member of the Owls Club, Russellton and the Culmerville Sportsman Club. Joyce enjoyed watching Steeler Football, bar bingo and singing karaoke, though loved spending time with her grandsons.
Besides her mother she is survived by her sons George Palmer of Pittsburgh and John S. McCurdy, Jr. of Braddock, her grandsons Logan, Landyn and Oden, her brothers George A. (Joyce) Palmer, Jr. of West Deer, Thomas M. (Elona) Palmer of Sarver and Greg I. (Kerry) Palmer of Brackenridge.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by her husband John S. McCurdy, Sr., and her brothers Timothy J. & Keith D. Palmer.
