Kathy Cheryl Nwranski, 62, passed peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, on Tuesday May 2, 2023 with her loving family by her side after a long, hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Kathy was born on November 20th, 1960, and has lived all her life in West Deer Township. She was a 1978 graduate of Deer Lakes High School, then attended Allegheny Valley Hospital’s X-ray Technology Program. She spent her career as an X-ray and Ultrasound Technician at North Hills Passavant Hospital and various Allegheny Health Network practices. Kathy was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer. She was deeply dedicated to caring for her family and passionate about spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dogs. She was most happy spending summers at her camp on the Allegheny River in northern PA, hiking in the woods with her dogs and sister Cookie, family beach vacations, and dinners with her dearest friends.
Daughter of Robert and Joyce Tano, Kathy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald Nwranski; her children Laura (Matthew) Glover of Valencia and Thomas (Chelsea) Nwranski of Valencia; sister to Leslie “Cookie” (Christopher) Cashell of Saxonburg, Jennifer Tano of Duniden, FL, William Rosenblatt of Shaler, and Robert (Sue) Tano of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Lee Glover, Elle Glover, and Watson Nwranski, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Joyce Morgan Tano, sister Karen Rosenblatt and brother Gary Tano.
Friends will be received Friday, May 5, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. Funeral services & burial will be at the convenience of the family.
