Linda L. Smith

Linda L. (Kaczmerck) Smith, 73 of West Deer Township, died Friday April 2, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice Cabot. She was born January 19, 1948 in Pittsburgh to the late Sylvester and Olga (Varas) Kaczmerck. Linda grew up in Pittsburgh graduating from Langley High School in 1966. She further her education by receiving an associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant, then worked for over 20 years at various facilities including the Verlan Homes as well as Kane Regional. Linda was a member of East Union Presbyterian Church, West Deer. She was an avid reader, when she was young enjoyed fishing, enjoyed knitting and crocheting though she always enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years James T. “JT” Smith, her children; Sherina (Richard) Hutton of Columbus, OH, James T. Smith, Jr. of Curtisville, Lindale J. Smith of Springdale and Shauna Smith of Russellton, 7 grandchildren Tyler, Tonee, Niko, Kayla, Candace, Isiah and Abagail.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kayla Lynn Smith June 26, 2000.

We will be following CDC Guidelines and do ask that you wear a mask, social distance and make your visit brief.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 AM until 1 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp., where a funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM with the Rev.
