Lucille A. (Simone) Ciampoli, 81 of Indiana Township, died Sunday September 19, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford, with her family by her side. She was born October 17, 1939 in Pittsburgh to the late Mauro C. and Carmella (Rocco) Simone. Lucille grew up in Swissvale and graduating from Sacred Heart High School in 1957. Lucille worked for Industrial Rubber Products as a secretary for over 5 years then as a secretary for Penn Hill School District for 29 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer, the church Women’s Guild and Young and Restless Club, and was also a member of the AARP in Hampton. Lucille enjoyed playing golf attending her card group though especially enjoyed spending time with her family, most especially the grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years Carl R. Ciampoli, her children Mauro (Sandy) Macioce of Hampton, Lisa (Tony) Altimore of West Deer and Gary (Kathy) Ciampoli of Enfield, CT, her grandchildren Richard and Matthew Macioce and Gianna Altimore.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Macioce, her daughter Karen Ciampoli and her brother Anthony Simone.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. Funeral mass will be conducted Thursday 10 am in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Victor campus, with the Rev. Joseph Mele, officiating. She will be laid to rest in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to either Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Banton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 of St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
