Marilyn Ruth (McCandless) Baker, 93 of Rural Ridge, Indiana Township, died Saturday April 19, 2025 at her home with her family by her side. She was born June 1, 1931 in Natrona Heights, to the late Raymond A. and Kathryn (Farrell) McCandless. Marilyn has lived in Rural Ridge for the past 62 years. She was a homemaker and member of Springdale Open Bible Church. Marilyn loved to bake, sew, read, do latch hook projects, though her family was her #1 priority.
Survivors include her children; Gary D. Baker of Plum Boro, Sharon (the late Jeffrey) Greenway of West Deer and Donald L. (Beth) Baker of Natrona Heights, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her brother Jack McCandless of Natrona Heights and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Donald R. Baker on August 23, 1996, her son Robert A. Baker and her brother Rev. R.D. McCandless.
Family invites friends on Thursday from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where the funeral service will be conducted Friday 10 am with the Pastor Rick Fiore, officiating. She will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
