Marlene M. (Trischler) Hilla, 80 of Bairdford, West Deer Township, died Thursday October 5, 2023 at the home of her daughter with her family by her side. She was born June 2, 1943 in Pittsburgh to the late Harry S. and Louise M. (Bonner) Trischler. Marlene grew up in Shaler graduating from Vincentian High School in 1960. She worked at several area retail stores as a customer service representative, though her favorite title was wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Marlene was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer along with the church Young and Restless Club. She loved spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren.
Marlene's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She brought joy and warmth to the lives of those she touched, leaving a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. Her nurturing spirit and the wisdom she imparted will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years Michael J. Hilla, her children Michael J. Hilla, Jr. of West Deer and Marcy L. (Glenn) Klaas of Indiana Township, grandchildren Benjamin A. (Caitlin Hutchinson) Klaas, Joseph A. (Alison Arnone) Klaas, Rebecca L. Klaas, Michael J. Hilla, III and her sisters Dorothy (Michael) Swidorsky of West Deer and Sandy Balzer of Lancaster, OH. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Harry and Ronald Trischler.
The memory of Marlene Hilla will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate to know her. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led, the love she shared, and the legacy of family bonds she leaves behind.
Friends will be received Sunday October 15th from 1 PM until the time of the service at 3PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, with the Chaplin Don Hezlep, officiating.
