Martin S "Marty" Stapchuck, 83. of Cranberry Township, formerly of West Deer Twp., passed away Wednesday January 14, 2026 in his home with his family by his side. He was born July 25, 1942 in New Kensington to the late Martin S. and Anna (Brooks) Stapchuck. Marty grew up in West Deer, graduating from West Deer High School in 1960. After graduation he joined the army and was stationed in France. Upon discharge he started working for a small finance company learning the trade. He moved up the ladder and joined the team at Chrysler Financial where he worked for 30 years before retiring. Marty was a life-long member of OLLP, Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church in Russellton. Marty liked to spend his free time on the golf course. He also enjoyed hunting and doing some fishing in the wilds of Canada with his brothers. He was also a huge fan of the Steelers, Penguins and Pitt sports teams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, Donna Barnett Stapchuck and his brother Michael J. Stopchuck. He is survived by his wife, Karen, 3 sons, Kenneth (Bonnie) of Saver, Timothy of New Kensington, David (Mary Jo)) of Greenville and 1 stepdaughter, Jennifer Lewis of Spring Lake, NC, 5 grandchildren Meghan (Jared) Baughman, Chelsea, Jonathan (Hannah), Kira (Jacob), and Ivan (Holly) and his brothers John G. (Mary Lou) Stapchuck of Annandale, VA and Paul R. (Dorothy) Stopchuck of Munhall.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Hillman Cancer Center of Cranberry and Amedisys Hospice for the special care they gave Marty.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer. Parting prayers will be conducted, Monday, 12:30 PM with a funeral mass following in OLLP- Transfiguration Church, Russellton, with the Rev. James P. Holland, officiating.
