Matthew Peter Nagy

Matthew Peter Nagy, 47 of West Deer Township, passed away suddenly Friday September 24, 2021, due to heart disease. Matthew was born March 11, 1974 in New Kensington Hospital to James G. and Patricia A. (Fedoush) Nagy. Matt has lived in West Deer all of his life, graduating from Deer Lakes and the A. W. Beatty Alternative High School in 1993. He worked as a landscaper for LMS Landscaping until he started his own business. Growing up he played little league baseball, youth and high school football. He loved the outdoors and was very knowledgeable about plants and gardening. Matt’s memory was fantastic and could recite entire movies and songs. He enjoyed carpentry, and refinishing furniture. He had a loving heart, a great soul, and a wonderful sense of humor. He loved music, playing his guitar, was an excellent golfer, and loved the Steelers and the Raiders. Matthew especially loved family, friends and pets. Heaven has gained another angel, but will be forever in our hearts. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his parents James G. and Patricia A. (Fedoush) Nagy, his twin brother Michael P. Nagy and his sister Michelle G. Nagy all of West Deer, his sister-in-law Cynthia (Gatto) Nagy of Butler Township and his two nephews Nicholas James Nagy and Alexander Joseph Nagy both of Butler Township.

He was preceded in death by his brother James G. “Jimmy” Nagy who passed away due to a tragic accident on April 10, 2021.
