Millicent Palko Obituary

Millicent “Toots” (Radich) Palko, 84 of Buffalo Township, formerly of Rural Ridge, died Sunday April 19, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born October 5, 1941 in Rural Ridge to the late Charles and Mildred (Gjindjich) Radich, where she grew up and graduated from East Deer High School in 1959. Toots worked as a nursing assistant for the Minor’s Clinic in Russellton after graduation from High School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, White Hall. After raising her children, she went to work for W.L. Roenigk, Saxonburg driving a school van, which she did for over 15 years. Toots enjoyed watching her hometown Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, though she mostly enjoyed her grandchildren, watching them play their sports.

Survivors include her son Chad M. (Kristy) Palko of Buffalo Township, her daughter Lynne M. (Doug) LeClair of Winston Salem, NC, her grandchildren Thomas J. Palko, Ian J. Palko and Andrew J. Palko all of Buffalo Township, and Giles T. Leclair of Winston Salem, NC as well as her brother Pete Radich of Rural Ridge.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Thomas M. Palko in 2004.

At Toot’s request all viewing, services and burial were private.  She was privately buried next to her husband in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Rural Ridge VFD, PO Box 58, Rural Ridge, PA 15075.
