Norma Jean Clawson

Norma Jean (Cameron) Clawson, 93 of West Deer Township, died Tuesday August 9, 2022 at Belair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lower Burrell. She was born January 28, 1929 in New Kensington to the late Robert F. and Jennie M. (Wiles) Cameron. Norma Jean grew up in New Kensington, graduating from Ken High in 1947. Norma moved to West Deer in 1974, living her for the past 48 years. She attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Springdale. Norma Jean was a nanny for Jeff and Lisa Fleming, caring for their children for many years. She was a homemaker and loved her kittens.

Survivors include her children Richard C. Clawson and Merle Lynn (Thomas) Constantine, grandchildren Jeffrey Shearer, David (Melody) Shearer, Devon Constantine and Troy Constantine, great-grandchildren Loney, Lincoln, Morgan and Savana.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Merle A. Clawson, on June 15, 2011, and her brothers Robert, Earl and John Cameron and her sister Clara Conner.

At the family’s request a private burial was held, being laid to rest next to her husband in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKRELL ROAD, RUSSELLTON, WEST DEER TWP.
