Paul G. Fleissner, 90 of Bairdford, West Deer Township died Tuesday October 12, 2021 at Anthology of McCandless with his family by his side. He was born June 28, 1931 in Etna to the late Christian and Mary (Wagner) Fleissner. Paul grew up in Etna graduating from Etna High School in 1949. Paul worked in the construction business specifically the Masonry Business for over 50 years, owning his own business, Paul Fleissner Masonry. Paul has lived in West Deer in the home he helped build, for the past 60 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer Township, the Church Men’s Club, and the Etna Elks. Paul could be seen most Thursday’s, volunteering at the church bingo. He enjoyed hunting, Pittsburgh sports, traveling to Deep Creek Maryland and going to the casino, though his biggest love was his family especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children Paul J. (Dee) Fleissner of West Deer, Richard Fleissner at home, Lorraine Lanyon of Mystic, CT, Ellen (William) Price of Shaler Township and Martin (Chris) Fleissner, grandchildren Paul, Adam, Mary, Catherine, Margaret, Megan, Julia, Brian, Andrew and Michael and his 2 great-grandchildren Pearce and Ivy and his brother Donald Phillips, Jr.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bernice (Hoover) Fleissner, his daughter Leanne Fleissner his siblings, Robert, Christopher “Bud”, Leo, Bernard “Ike” and Donald Fleissner, Jean Stafford and Linda Fleissner.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where parting prayers will be conducted Saturday 9:30 am followed by a catholic funeral mass in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Victor Church, with the Rev. James P. Holland, officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in St. Mary’s Sharpsburg, O’Hara Township.
