Paul E. Lardin, 84 of New Kensington, formerly of Shelocta, died Saturday August 10, 2024 at his home. He was born January 16, 1940 in East Franklin, Armstrong to the late Ralph C. and Mildred L. (Patrick) Lardin. Paul worked for Deer Lakes School as a bus driver for many years. He also traveled to multiple church filling in on the weekend as the church minister on the weekends when the Pastor was away. He also served the country in the US Army. He also was volunteer fireman for both Fawn VFD #2 as well as Bethel Township VFD, Armstrong County. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his children Paul J. Lardin of Jeannette, Anna M. Lardin of Arnond, Larry E. Lardin of Montana, Connie F. Lardin of New Kensington, Mark A. Lardin of Arnold and Rebecca L. Hillman of Jacksonville, FL, 15 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and his brother Matthew “Bud” (Betty) Lardin of Gainesville, NY.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons Elwood P. and James M. Lardin, his 1st wife Ida (Vorpe) Lardin, 2nd wife Jane E. (Leitch) Lardin and his 3rd wife Margaret A. (Gamble) Lardin, his siblings William, Frank, Robert, Scott, Edward and Ralph Lardin and Betty Guthrie, Ester Botson, Lurella Swarmer and Hattie Klinger.
Friends received Saturday August 17, from 2-4 PM and 6-7:30 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp., where a funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 PM. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Sunday August 18th at Memorial Park, New Kensington from 12 Noon – ??. His burial will be private.
