Peggy Klepfer Obituary

Peggy Lou (Wenner) Klepfer, age 87, of West Deer Township, died peacefully Sunday evening, Oct. 12, 2025, under the care of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, PA.

She was born on Feb. 6, 1938 in Red Bank Township, Armstrong County.  After graduating from high school, Peggy worked at the Fosnight Retirement Home as a nurses aid, cook, and housekeeper for over 40 years.  She married Rayburn Klepfer and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage prior to Rayburn’s death in Aug. of 2019.  Peggy and Rayburn lived on Bairdford Road in West Deer where they raised their family.  It was a wonderful neighborhood to grow up in with a large back yard where neighborhood kids would get together to play ball games.

Peggy enjoyed playing bingo though her main love was caring for her family.  She especially looked forward to the holidays, when family and neighbors would come together — times she cherished deeply.  Her warmth, kindness, and love created a home full of laughter and lasting memories that her family will hold dear forever.

Survivors include her children Guy (Robin) Klepfer and Gordon Klepfer, and Daughter-in-law Jutta Klepfer.  Dear grandmother of Kendra Klepfer, Dylan Klepfer, Tanja Salfemoser, Michael Klepfer (Taylor), David Klepfer (Theresa), and Katie Salfemoser.  Great-grandmother of Lacey Klepfer, Jaxon Klepfer, Jamison Klepfer, Eli Klepfer, Jayden Collins, Mila Salfemoser, and Ashley Evans.  Sister of Mary Ann Neiswonger, Kay Gallagher, Betty Gladd, James Galbraith, and Rose Kingsley.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rayburn Klepfer, her beloved sons Gerry Klepfer and Gregory Klepfer; as well as, her brother Ben Adams.

At Peggy’s request, all services and burial are private.  Arrangements are entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer.  View the obituary online and leave condolences at www.siwicki-yanickofh.com/obituary/Peggy-Klepfer
