Richard W. ("Pudge") Bossart, Jr

Richard W. “Pudge” Bossart, Jr., 67 of West Deer Township, died Tuesday November 19, 2024 at AHN Wexford Hospital. He was born May 6, 1957 in Pittsburgh to the late Richard W. and Norma J. (Bruggerman) Bossart, Sr. Pudge grew up in West Deer graduating from Deer Lakes High School in 1975. He received an Associate Degree in Psychology from CCAC, Boyce, then a BA in Education, from Slipper Rock in 1981. He worked for the Labor Union Local 373 in Pittsburgh for over 25 years. Pudge enjoyed traveling to the New England States, loved music and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children Shellie N. (Richard) Leclerc of Brewer, ME, Richard W. (Belinda) Bossart, and Brandy L. (Brian) Ice of Myrtle Beach, NC, grandchildren Dawson and Lyla Ice, siblings; Dee Dee Bossart of Swansboro, NC, Paul J. Bossart of Jacksonville, NC and Phillip C. (Cyndi) Bossart of Swansboro, NC.
Besides his parents she was preceded in death by his wife Sarah V. (Ohler) Gmuer Bossart, who died on May 26, 2023 and a brother Kent R. Bossart.

The family invites all to a Celebration of Pudge’s life, Saturday April 12, 2025 at the West Deer American Legion Hall, 57 Superior Road, West Deer From 1pm to 4pm.  Please reach out to the Family so they can plan for the amount of people attending.
