Richard R. Cesaretti

Richard R. Cesaretti, 93 of Frazer Township, died August 2, 2022 at Concordia at Rebecca Residence, West Deer. Rich was born June 17, 1929 in Russellton to the late Amedeo and Esther (Coccetella) Cesaretti. He grew up in Russellton graduating from West Deer High School in 1948. Rich served his country during the Korean War in the US Army achieving the rank of Corporal, stationed in Korea and Japan. Returning to the states, he went to work for US Gypsum Company where he was the supervisor in the bagging department, working there for over 47 years. Rich was a member of Guardian Angels Parish – Holy Family Church, Creighton and was one of the founding members of the Sons and Daughters of Italy, “Italian Club’ in Russellton and also was one of the member who started the Deer Lakes Youth Football Program, which was supported by the Italian Club bingo, which Rich worked weekly. He was a big Pittsburgh sports fan, enjoying being a season ticket holder for the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins at different times though out the years. Rich’s greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years Elizabeth R. (Robinson) Cesaretti, his children Terri L. (James) Chirdon, III of Frazer, Timothy R. (Megan) Cesaretti of Bridgeville and Richard S. (Brenda) Cesaretti of Midland, MI, grandchildren Andrew, Vincent (Leah), Alexa (Zak), Pierce, Matthew and Scott (Alana), great-grandchildren Alexander and Victoria and his brother Walter A. Cesaretti of Russellton.

Besides his parents he was recently preceded in death by his sister Pauline M. (Cesaretti) DeVita.

Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp., where parting prayers will be Saturday 9:15 AM with a Catholic Funeral Mass following at 10 AM in Guardian Angels Parish – Holy Family Church, Creighton.
