Richard J. Danner

Richard J. “Rich” Danner, 50 of Bairdford, West Deer Township, died Monday March 13, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital with his wife by his side. He was born August 15, 1972 in Pittsburgh to the late Richard Danner and Linda M. (Geier) Danner of Hampton. Rich grew up in Hampton graduating from Hampton High School in 1990. He worked as an auto mechanic at several dealerships most recently Jim Shorkey Auto Group, North Hills. Rich was a volunteer fire fighter for over 20 years serving at North Hampton VFD, Richland VFD and West Deer VFD #2. He was also a member of the Owl’s Club, Russellton, Rich enjoyed bowling, video games, though loved tinkering in his garage, making anything, including his own kitchen cabinets.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years Tonya L. (Smulick) Danner, his Dog Rylie, his Mom Linda M. (Geier) Danner of Hampton, his brother Daniel (Deanene) Danner of Curtisville, his niece Sarah Danner and his nephew Ethan Danner.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by an infant brother Johathan Danner.

The family invites all friends and relatives to a Celebration of Rich’s life this Saturday March 18, 2023 at the Owl’s Club, Russellton from 1-4 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the West Deer Dog Shelter, 109 East Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024.
