Richard J. Ostrowski, 77 of Curtisville, West Deer Township, died Friday June 14, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. He was born October 30, 1946 in Curtisville to the late Ignatius E. and Stella T. (Godlewski) Ostrowski. Rich has lived in Curtisville all of his life. He was a 1965 graduate of West Deer High School. Rich enlisted in the US Army following graduation serving in the US Army achieving the rank of Specialist Grade 4. He worked as an electrician for Petroleum Equipment Services (PES) for over 35 years then helped his friend Fred Brandstetter start Advanced Petroleum Services where he worked an additional 20 years. Just last week he helped Fred with a project from his home on the phone. He enjoyed riding his motorbike, fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Rebecca A. (Baker) Ostrowski, his children Rebecca A. Kirkland of Harrisville, Richard J. (Deborah) Ostrowski, Jr. of Harrisville, Mark A. (Michelle) Ostrowski of Curtisville and Thomas C. Ostrowski of Curtisville, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and siblings Marion Fedak of Hampton, Carl (Barbara) Ostrowski of Valencia and Ronald (Laura) Ostrowski of Russellton.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Walter and Thomas Ostrowski.
Friends received Monday 2-4 PM & 6-8 the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp., where a blessing service will be conducted Tuesday 10 AM with the Rev. James P.
