Richard G. Suchevits, Dick fondly known as “Such” 79 of Middlesex Township, formerly of Saxonburg, Clinton Township died peacefully Sunday July 16, 2023, with his family by his side. Born October 2, 1943 in Uniontown to the late Ignatius and Mary (Stujna) Suchevits, “Such” grew up and graduated from German Township High School in 1961. He started his own auto body shop and then went to work for Benke Motors, and on to be a Union Concrete Finisher with the Cement Masons’ Local 526 in Pittsburgh. This led to him starting his own company “Such Construction”. He enjoyed his winters in Florida, watching Pittsburgh sports,
bowling, horseshoes, corn hole, golf and listening to Tamburitzan music. He especially loved beating his family at cards and announcing “Show me the Money!” as he collected his winnings and scratching his scratch-off tickets. He was fondly known in the camping world as the “Mayor”. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone and brought so much joy to all who knew him.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 58 years Diane (Graham) Suchevits, his children Diana L. (Michael) Moretti of Clinton Township, Richard G. (Anne) Suchevits, II of Sandestin, FL, Robert V. Suchevits of Harmar Township, John R. Frew, Beaver, grandchildren Katelyn Moretti, Mikayla Moretti and Tyler Suchevits.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ignatius and Mary (Stujna) Suchevits and adoptive parents Vincent and Anna (Plaenchar) Stunja and his 25 brothers and sisters.
His family is very grateful for the prayers and support that friends and neighbors have shown Such and his entire family.
At Such’s request all viewing, services and burial will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. In lieu of flowers or expressions of sympathy, a donation to St. Jude's would be appreciated by Such and his family.
