Robert T. Eaton, 75 of West Deer Township, died Monday September 4, 2023 at his home. He was born September 3, 1948 in New Kensington to the late Wallace G. and Henrietta (Leskovic) Eaton. Bob grew up in Springdale graduating from Springdale High School in 1966. He attended Edinboro University prior to getting drafted into the US Army during the Viet Nam War, serving his country and achieving the rank of Seargent. Bob was a self-employed contractor, building for over 40 years through out the area. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer and the church Men’s Club. Bob was a member and stockholder for the Kriven Club, Springdale and charter member of the Camp Lease Association in Titusville. Bob loved volunteering in his church where he could be seen working Bingo for the past 30+ years and working the Parish Fish Fry for the past 12 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, John F. Kennedy Council #5501. He also enjoyed golf, hunting bowling and nature.
Survivors include his children Stephanie (Craig) Codeluppi of Monroeville, Jeffrey (Connie) Eaton of Mt. Lebanon, Edward Oehling of Richland, Heather (Scott) Hilpert of Baldwin and Jason (Robyn) Oehling of New Castle, grandchildren Nathan, Daniel, Thomas, Conrad, Taylor, Emma, Mekayla, Hailey, Michael, Kaidence, Shane and Alayna, and his brothers Rand (Judy Litzinger), of Springdale, and Roger (Dyan) Eaton, of Lower Burrell.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl L. (Ganster) Eaton, his granddaughter Kaylene Oehling and his brother Richard J. “Richie” Eaton.
Friends will be received on Thursday, from 2-4 pm and 6 to 8 p.m. at the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where parting prayers will be conducted Friday 9:30 am with a funeral mass to follow in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish - St. Victor Church at 10 am. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sharpshill Road, O'Hara Township.
