Robert J. Filbert, Sr., 65 of Allison Park, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, with his family by his side. He was born March 21, 1956 in San Bernardino, Calif. to the late Robert Z. Filbert and Dorothy P. (Brown) Filbert of Allison Park. Bob was a 1974 graduate of Norwin High School. Following high school, he and his Father opened Filbert Sales where he was a sales of metric screws and fasteners for 30 years. He and his wife started their own business Matrics Sales. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer, a life member of the Owl’s Club, Russellton, American Legion and the Son’s of Legion, both of West Deer, Moose Lodge, Verona, Conneaut Lake VFD Station #3 social member. Bob enjoyed golfing, youtube videos, traveling, cruising, the casinos and fishing.
Other than his mother he is survived by his wife of 15 years JoAnn (Feil) Filbert, daughter Ericka (Victor) Rincon of Orange, TX, son Robert J. “RJ” Filbert, Jr. of Buffalo, NY, grandchildren Verick Rincon, Evalen Rincon and Julianna Filbert, sister Sherri (Robert) Fisher of Rural Valley and his brother Craig (Karen) DeLong of Montgomery, AL
The family asks all family and friends attending to observe social distancing, wearing of masks and keeping your visit short. His family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday 10 am in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Transfiguration Church, Russellton. He will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
