Robert J. Fyala

Robert J. Fyala, 81, of West Deer Township, died Friday July 11, 2025 at Concordia Lutheran Care Cabot. He was born October 31, 1943 in Harrison Township to the late Steve J. and Ann (Kashlak) Fyala. A resident of West Deer all of his life, graduating from West Deer High School in 1961. Bob was a retired Research Technician for Alcoa in Upper Burrell for 30 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War era serving in the Army and a member of East Union Presbyterian Church, West Deer. Bob played a lot of baseball in his youth and liked all sporting events. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Janet (Victain) Fyala, son Gregory (Christine) Fyala of West Deer; Grandchild Al Fyala; and a sister Pat Cavanaugh of West Deer; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ted Fyala in 2006 and Ron Fyala in 2022.

Friends and Family will be received Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer., where services will be held at 10 am Tuesday with the Rev James C.
