Robert “Roby” C. Stiner, 72 of Harmar Township, died Tuesday March 29, 2022 at his home. He was born February 13, 1950 in Harmar to the late Elmer J. and Helen (Kravenko) Stiner. Roby grew up in Harmar graduating from Springdale High School in 1968. Following high school, he went to serve his country during the Viet Nam War in the US Marine Corps. When he returned from the war, he went to work as a coal miner for the Harmar mine, then moved to Houston, TX, continuing as a coal miner for a few years, then got his plumber’s certificate, and went on to work as a plumber for over 15 years. When his mother took ill, he returned to Harmar to care for her in her final days. He enjoyed riding his Harley, making several trips to Stergis, ND, was a major Penguin Fan and loved to travel.
Survivors include his niece, who cared for him, Jodi Lee (Rick) Gacci of Frazer Township, his great-nice Courtney Stiner of Verona and his brother Kennith (Barbara) Stiner of Fla.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Stiner.
