Ronald S. Butler, 69 of Bairdford, West Deer Township, died Wednesday October 12, 2022 at UPMC Passavant with his family by his side. He was born June 23, 1953 in Pittsburgh to the late Stewart F. Butler and Iva S. (Enos) Leigh of Bairdford. Ron grew up in West Deer, where he has lived most of his life. He worked for Trailmobile for over 20 years as a welder. Ron at one time owned and operated his own gun repair shop. He was a member of the American Legion Riders, Post 820 in Monroeville. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, though enjoyed riding his Harley.
Survivors include his wife Jil R. DeShong-Butler, his mother and step-father Iva S. (Enos) and Reubin Leigh of Bairdford, his step-children Mark (Kelly) DeShong and Mona (Mike) Deshong-Sullivan both of Penn Hills; 5 grand-children Sami, Dia, Hailie, Michael and Mikayla, and his sister Edith Butler Puwalowski of West Deer, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his brother Raymond G. Butler and his nephews Frank Puwalowski and Eric Lindgren
Family will receive friends Saturday from 2-5 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. His burial will be private.
