Rosemary P. Bufalini

Rosemary (Pollock) Bufalini, 83 of the Links of Deer Run, West Deer Township died Tuesday January 26, 2021 at the Harmar Village Care Center. She was born April 5, 1937 in Verona to the late James and Rosemary (Buxton) Pollock.  She has lived at the Links for the past 14 years and prior in Cheswick for over 36 years. Rosemary was a 1955 graduate of St. Luke High School, Carnegie, a 1959 graduate of Mount Mercy College, (Carlow) Pittsburgh. She then worked as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Pittsburgh for a year, then as an instructor in Carlow’s Speech Department for a year and then became the Director of Continuing Education for Carlow. Rosemary then went to work for Blue Cross of Western PA, working as the Manager of the Human Resources department for over 24 years until she retired in 1997. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Bairdford. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends though she cherished the time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Lawrence W. Bufalini, whom she met while going to college and married in 1961, her daughter Laura (Ralph) Harris of Tyrone, her son David (Linda) Bufalini of Altoona, granddaughter Molly Harris of Tyrone and her grandson John Bufalini of Altoona, her sisters Dolores (William) Miller of Emsworth and Sarah (Joseph) McCluan of Fla, her brother James Pollock of Cheswick and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Thaddeus and Mary (Gardner) Buxton and her paternal grandparents John and Delia (Cypher) Pollock.

We will be following CDC Guidelines and do ask that you wear a mask, social distance and make your visit brief.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. Funeral mass will be conducted Monday 10 am in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Victor campus, with the Rev. James P. Holland, officiating. She will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the West Deer Food Bank, PO Box 173, Russellton, PA 15076.
