Ruth A. Best

Ruth A. (Antoszyk) Best, 76 of West Deer Township, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Vincentian de Marillac, Pittsburgh with her family by her side. She was born April 6, 1945 in Pittsburgh to the late Michael and Katherine D. (Dudek) Antoszyk. Ruth grew up in Shaler and was a 1963 graduate of Shaler High School. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, crafting and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her sons John N. (Cynthia) Best of Baden and Scott Best of West Deer, her granddaughter Lillian Best of Baden and her sister Christine Robinson of Allison Park.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John “Jack” N. Best, Sr., her sister Gloria Antoszyk and her brothers Richard and Michael Antoszyk.

A private family viewing and service was held in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton. Following the service, she was laid to rest next to her husband in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.
