Shannon N. Hunter, 48 of West Deer Township, died Sunday March 2, 2025 at her home. She was born September 7, 1976 in Pittsburgh to the late Raymond Hunter and Michele (Mennitto) Brondyke. Shannon was also the daughter of her stepfather Donald Brondyke of Indianola. Shannon grew up in Oakmont and the Fox Chapel area and attended Fox Chapel High School until 1995. She has lived in West Deer for the past 17 years. She was a dedicated employee to HP Starr, Valencia, for the past year, and Coen Co., Valencia before that. Shannon also worked at Sprankles, Leechburg in the Deli and was the hoagie fundraiser representative at the store. In these positions, she built meaningful relationships with many customers and coworkers, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. While in West Deer, she was the leader of Girl Scout Troop #52566 for 8 years, as well as an active parent with the Deer Lakes Band Boosters, holding several executive positions. She was also the fundraiser coordinator for the Deer Lakes Hockey Club Middle School Team. Above all, Shannon's greatest joy and purpose in life were her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
She is survived by her children Paige A. (Matt Boehm) Hall of Cabot, Lauren M. Hall of Cincinnati, OH and Ethan L. Kasprzyk of West Deer, her grandchildren Aurora and Lucas, her siblings Tammy M. Hunter of Leechburg, Raymond (Reina Peli) Hunter of Lower Burrell and Steven Hunter of Indianola, her nieces and nephews Emma Hibner, Adelynn and Emerie Hunter, Vada Peli, Brandin Best and Violett Lux. She was also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends received Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 2 PM until the time of the service at 5 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, with the Rev.
