Sherman T. Hill, 86 of Rural Ridge, Indiana Township, died Thursday April 3, 2025 at Quality Life Services – Chicora where he has been a patient the past few years. Sherman was born February 13, 1939 in Natrona Heights to the late William H. and Neda (Burke) Hill. Sherman has lived in Rural Ridge for the past 60 years. He was a member of the Deer Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene, Curtisville, West Deer. Sherman worked as a laborer in the paint department for Westinghouse, Harmar, then worked as a member of the grounds crew for Wildwood Country Club, Fox Chapel Golf Club and Church Hill Valley Country Club. He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by all of his siblings, his brothers Ralph, Eugene, Leonard, Edward and William “Rusty” Hill and his sisters Geraldine Spinelli, Bessy Marino and Dolores Swigart.
All are welcome to a memorial service in Sherman’s honor on Wednesday 11 am in the Deer Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene, 1839 Saxonburg Boulevard, West Deer Township, Tarentum, PA 15084, with his nephew Rev. Gene Hill officiating. He will be privately laid to rest with his father in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar.
