Shirley A. (Miller) Shelestak

Shirley A. (Miller) Shelestak, 87 of Indiana Township, died Monday March 4, 2024 at her home. She was born June 22, 1936 in Bairdford to the late Joseph F. and Sophia R. (Staney) Miller. Shirley grew up in Bairdford, West Deer and graduated from West Deer High School in 1954. She was a housekeeper for Valley View, then Concordia Assisted Living, Indiana Township and also worked for General Cleaning Contractors, Homestead for many years. She was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, Harmarville. Shirley loved being a homemaker, babysitting her grandbabies, spending time with her family, crossword puzzles, traveling and dining out.

Survivors include her sons Dennis (Tracey) Shelestak of Bairdford, David (Debbie) Shelestak of Indiana Township, Donald (Debra) Shelestak of Waynesburg and Alex Shelestak, III of Indiana Township, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and her sister Rita (Gerald) Paris of Forest Hills and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alex Shelestak, Jr. and her brother Joseph F. Miller, Jr.

Friends received Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where the funeral service will be conducted Thursday 10 AM.
