Stephen A. Franceschi, 72 of West Deer Township died Monday March 21, 2022 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born July 6, 1949 in Cambridge, MA to the late Joseph M. and Elsie M. (Wyman) Franceschi. Stephen went to serve his country during the Viet Nam War in the US Navy achieving a rank of E-3. Stephen moved to the Pittsburgh area in 1997 and went to work for Shop-n-Save, Bridgeville as the Seafood Manager, working there over 15 years. Following his retirement, he went to work at the Lowe’s Gibsonia. He enjoyed gardening, golf, wood working, watching his favorite teams the New England Patriots & Boston Red Sox, spending time with his beloved dog Brady, though loved his family the most.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Winifred M. (Driscoll) Franceschi, his son Richard J. (Rebecca) Franceschi of Shaler and daughter Julianna (Jordan) Onofer of West Deer, grandchildren Michael, Bowen, Joseph, Theodore and Francesca, his other children Stephanie and Stephen Jr.. He was also a special Dad to the 8 Kadlick Children.
Friends received Thursday 4-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, were parting prayers will be conducted Friday 9:30 am with a funeral mass following in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Victor Church, Bairdford. He will be laid to rest in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township.
