Sue H. Georgic

Sue H. (Himes) Georgic, 86 of West Deer Township, died Wednesday August 23, 2023 at Allegheny Valley Hospital with her family by her side. She was born May 2, 1937 in Clarion to the late Norman N. and Ruth (Hetrick) Himes. She grew up and graduated from Brookville High School in 1955 and from Allegheny Valley School of Nursing in 1958. Sue has lived in West Deer for the last 65 years. She worked for 5 years part time at Allegheny Valley Hospital and over 20 years at Sandy Hill Nursing Home, Valencia. Sue was a member of the Deer Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene.  She enjoyed her animals, flower gardening, camping, traveling, cooking having holiday meals at her home and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son Franklin V. Georgic, Jr. of West Deer, daughters Susan C. (Daryl) Meder of West Deer and Barbara J. (Paul) Quinn on Holly Springs, NC, grandchildren John (Cathy) Georgic, Victor (Brianne) Georgic, Rachel Meder and Alyssa Quinn, great-grandchildren Aurora, Valeria, Bjorn, Torben, and Theodore Geogic.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Franklin V. Georgic, Sr. and her grandson James Johns.

Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 am, with the Rev. Less Nolker, officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar.
