Thomas J. Parker, Sr., 87 of Curtisville, West Deer Township, died Friday December 11, 2020 at Paramount Senior Care Home, Mars. He was born January 15, 1933 in Curtisville where he has lived all of his life. Tom was a 1951 graduate of West Deer High School and then attended Carnegie Mellon. He served his country during the Korean War in the US Army achieving the rank of Corporal. When he returned from the service, he went to work for John F. Casey working as a Superintendent working 20 years until they closed. He then went to work for Hetrick Manufacturing also working as a Superintendent and worked there for 20 years until he retired in 1998. Tom attended St. Michael’s R.O. Church, Curtisville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.
Survivors include his children Thomas J. (Amy) Parker, Jr., Judith Payne and Elaine (Emerson) Atkinson all of Curtisville; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary C. (Armour) Parker, his sister Evelyn Kochan and brothers Willie, James and Frank Parker.
All are welcome to a memorial service at St. Michael’s R.O. Church, Curtisville on Sunday January 24, 2021 at 11 am, following the Sunday Liturgy at 10 am, with the Rev. Alexander Poshyvajlo officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp.
