William J. Scott, III, 67 of Curtisville, West Deer Township, died peacefully on Monday May 31, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born January 27, 1954 in Pittsburgh to the late William J. Scott, Jr. and Shirley M. (Israel) Scott of Glenshaw. Bill grew up in Millvale graduating from Shaler High School in 1973. He worked as an auto mechanic at Fran Saban Automotive, Hampton. Bill was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Transfiguration Church, Russellton. He enjoyed building model cars and airplanes.
Survivors include his children Julie A. Scott, William J. Scott, IV both at home and Aaron M. Scott of Shaler, his mother Shirley M. (Israel) Scott of Glenshaw and his brothers Daniel and Joseph Scott both of Glenshaw and Michael Scott of Baltimore, MD.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen M. (Brogan) Scott on December 30, 2015.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. He will be privately laid to rest next to his wife in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should, in Bill’s name, should be sent to Amedisys Hospice Care, 240 Pullman Square, Suite 255, Butler, PA 16001.
