William W. "Bill" Thomas, 68 of Harrison Township, formerly of West Deer Township died Wednesday July 19, 2023 at his home. He was born March 8, 1955 in Pittsburgh to the late J. William and Adele M. (Piasecki) Thomas. Bill grew up in West Deer graduating from West Deer in 1973. Following graduation, he worked with his father and then began his own appliance repair business which he continued for 10 years. He then went to work at the Allegheny County Jail as a Corrections Officer working there for over 25 years. Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycle, photography, spending time with his family especially at their summer home on Lake Chautauqua, NY.
Survivors include his brothers Jeffrey A. (Deborah) Thomas of West Deer and Gregory S. (Chris) Thomas of North Huntingdon and his sister Lisa A. (Patrick) Daly of Buffalo, NY, nieces and nephews Meredith, Carrie, Jennifer, Greg, Jr. and Tyler and his great nieces and nephews, Morgan, Luke and Greyson.
At Bill’s request all viewing and services were private. He was buried with his parents in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sharphill, O’Hara Township.
