William J. “3-Foot” Guerre, 82 of West Deer Township, died Monday August 14, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. He was born December 29, 1940 in Pittsburgh to the late Leonard and Anna K. (Mangine) Guerre. Bill has lived in the West Deer Township area for the past 30 years. He began his working career as a typewriter repairman working for Ft. Pitt Typewriter Repair, then became a Teamster, driving truck for over 30 years, working for Eazor Trucking, Lyon Transportation and most recently with New Penn Trucking. Bill was a member of the Owl’s Club, Russellton, the Teamster Local 249 and enjoyed playing bingo, golf, hunting, fishing, throwing horseshoes, playing cards and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years Dana M. (Rockhill) Guerre, his children Susan (Perry) Drum of West Deer, William Guerre of FL and Frederick Guerre of Plum, grandchildren Cory and Charlotte Guerre and brothers Leonard Guerre, James (Keryne) Guerre and Joseph (Sharon) Guerre all of West Deer.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Florence “Flo” (Meyer) Guerre 7-17-1995 and his brothers Anthony, John and Rudy Guerre, and sisters Madeline Tracey, Patricia Cobb and Bettina Guerre.
Friends received Thursday from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer. Burial will be private.
