Yvonne C. Smulick

Yvonne C. (Lindgren) Smulick, 71 of Blanchard, West Deer Township, died Monday October 9, 2023 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital with her family by her side. She was born April 16, 1952 in Natrona Heights to the late Wellington F. and Laura M. (Saber) Lindgren. Yvonne grew up and has lived in West Deer all her life. She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer. Yvonne loved bingo, crocheting, cooking, baking though loved her family and grandchildren most of all.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years Thomas E. Smulick, her children Yvette M. (Michael) Gbur of Bairdford, Allison K. (Jesse) Thompson of East Deer and Thomas E. Smulick, Jr. of Freeport, grandsons Michael Gbur and Aidan Smulick and her brothes Lynn (Mary) Lindgren of West Deer and Larry (Pam Metzler) Lindgrin of Natrona Heights.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Lindgren.

Friends will be received to a celebration of her life at the Owl’s Club, Main Street Russellton, on October 21, 2023 from 1 pm to 5 pm. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer. She was laid to rest in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the West Deer Township Food Bank, 292 East Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024.
