Audrey A. Hensel

Audrey A. (Sukanovich) Hensel, 76 of West Deer Township, died January 20, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born July 26, 1940 in Bairdford to the late Roy M. and Anna D. (Starr) Sukanovich. Audrey has lived in West Deer all of her life. She was a 1958 graduate of West Deer High School. Audrey went to work for the H. J. Heinz Company in Pittsburgh in the data entry department, working there for a few years following graduation, she then become a homemaker. She was a life member of St. Victor Parish. Audrey served as a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed camping, was an avid reader, loved gardening and especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years Robert F. Hensel, children Deborah A. Kyle of Colorado Springs, CO, Gregory R. (Leigh Ann) Hensel of Tijeras, NM, Cynthia M. (Gary) Sholly of Chugiak, AK and Diane L. Hensel at home, four grandchildren Ryan, Brian, Greg and Amanda, four great-grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Stein of Ligonier and her brother Kenneth (Marion) Sukanovich of Lower Burrell.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Sukanovich.

Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where parting prayers will be conducted Tuesday 9:30 am followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass in St. Victor Parish, with the Rev.
