Donna Marie (Hocher) Roncevich

Beloved mother, Donna Marie (Hocher) Roncevich, 88 of West Deer Township, formerly of O’Hara Township died Saturday, February 24, 2024. She was born August 22, 1935 in Pittsburgh to the late Frank and Mary Catherine (Doerffler) Hocher. Donna grew up in Etna, proudly graduating from Etna High School in 1953. Donna was a member of St. Joseph’s of O’Hara R.C. Church and more recently Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer, attending mass at Transfiguration Church, Russellton. A natural caregiver, Donna worked as a home health companion, cooked for the homeless, and made modesty smocks for breast cancer patients. As a devoted daughter and only child, her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, husband, and friends.

In addition to her 7 children, throughout her life she mothered various friends of her children, and random pets. Donna enjoyed cooking, gardening, embroidery, couponing and clearance shopping. She loved to host holidays, birthday parties and Sunday get-togethers. Her Fun Bun sandwiches are legendary. Donna was a selfless individual. She was a wonderful, loving, kind woman, and friend to all.

Survivors include her children, Thomas (Sally) Roncevich, Michael (Michelle) Roncevich, Patricia Roncevich (Wes Morar), Jon Roncevich, Raymond (Beth) Roncevich and Traci (Matthew) Stotler; beloved grandchildren Tiffany (Ed) Lach, Madison, Alison, Lucas, Christian, and Ryan Roncevich, Lily and Casey Morar, and Eva, Ellie and Emma Stotler; and great grandson Hugh Lach.

Preceded in death by Thomas “Archie” Roncevich, her husband of 48 years, daughter Linda Lee Roncevich and grandson Vinny Tedesco.

Friends received Thursday from 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where parting prayers will be conducted Friday 9:30am, followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Transfiguration Church, Russellton.
