Dorothy M. (Sankovich) Sell, 84 of West Deer Township, passed away July 17, 2017, from her long fight with cancer. She was born May 13, 1933 in West Deer to the late Joseph and Rose (Kolen) Sankovich, where she has lived all of her life. A 1951 graduate of West Deer High School, Dot worked for over 5 years at the Moon Light Mushroom Mine in Worthington. She was a loving parent, grandparent and beloved wife to her husband of 64 years Harry W. Sell. Dot cherished her family and friends, welcoming all to her home. She enjoyed baking, camping, books, crocheting beautiful Afghans and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Besides her husband she leaves behind her three daughters Nancy J. Sell of Clinton, Sherri L. Sell of West Deer and Lisa Shirley of DelRay Beach, Fla., grandchildren Brian Borsuk, Josh Borsuk both of Curtisville and Jessica and Jennifer Shirley of Fla., her great-grandchildren Cody and Mason Borsuk, two sisters Anna Malecki and Roselle Malecki both of West Deer and her brother James (Marsha) Sankovich of West Deer.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Frank Sankovich.
Family invites relatives and friends to Dot’s funeral mass on Thursday at 10 am in Transfiguration R.C. Church, Russellton with the Rev. James P. Holland, officiating.
