Loretta (Omland) Norris, 99 of West Deer Township, passed away peacefully, Wednesday February 14, 2024 at Quality Life Services – Sarver (Fair Winds Manor), where she has been a resident for the past 5 years. She was born November 7, 1924 in Curtisville, West Deer Township to the late Walter and Anna (Kristoff) Omland. She was a 1942 graduate of West Deer High School, then attended and graduated from the School of Nursing in 1944. Loretta then went to work as a R.N. for several years. She then opened her own Beauty Salon in her home, operating it for many years. Loretta was of the Jehovah Witness Faith, attending services at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Natrona Heights. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and loved her many feline companions over the years.
Survivors include Jonathan (Amanda) Uhric who she loved like a son of West Deer, her nieces Janie Tanilli of Buffalo Township and Marcia Siemsen of Louisville, CO.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life Clarence T. Norris on June 14, 1994, her brother Walter Omland and her sister Eileen Lardin Mosley.
Loretta’s family would like to especially thank the staff of Fair Winds Manor for the outstanding care they provided to Loretta.
All are welcome to a funeral service on Monday February 19, 2024 at 12:30 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township Elder Fred Sabattini, officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
