Pearle L. Kunka

Pearle L. Seminoff Kunka, 98, formerly of Bairdford, West Deer Township, died Wednesday January 11, 2017. She was born August 28, 1918 in Vestaburg to the late Joseph and Anna (Morris) Seminoff. Pearle lived in Bairdford from 1949 to 1991 moving to Perrytown Place in Ross Twp. A member of the Old Believers Russian Orthodox Church in Marianna, Pa. She was employed at the Clark Candy Company in Pittsburgh during the War and then became a homemaker residing in Bairdford and enjoyed the love of reading, interior decorating, gardening, walking in North Park and baking her most requested walnut cookies.

Survivors include her three daughters, Susan (Howard) Formhals of Ross Twp., Patricia (Howard) Thornton of Ross Twp. and Rebecca (Kevin) Janicik of Fawn Twp., her four grandchildren Stacy Formhals, Steven Formhals, Shawn (Marissa) Thornton, Kaitlin Janicik.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband Peter J. Kunka, 35 years ago, Eight Sisters, Anna Brennan, Dorothy Dileanis, Catherine Trautvetter, Elizabeth Fisher, Martha Floarcassie, Marilyn Kruger, Florence Petroff, Gloria Zaharoff, two brothers, Richard and William Seminoff, and a brother and sister who died in infancy

At Pearle’s request a private funeral service was held by Alexander Poshyvajlo pastor of St. Michaels Russian Orthodox Church of Curtisville and burial followed in Lakewood Memorial Gardens Indiana Twp. beside her husband.   Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer.
