Anna (Groer) Kania, 95 of Indiana Township, went home to the Lord, God’s word says “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”, January 26, 2017 at Concordia at Rebecca Residence, West Deer. She was born July 9, 1921 in Habinghorst, Germany to the late Franz and Anna (Roszmann) Groer. Anna was a member of the Dorseyville Alliance Church, Dorseyville. She was a school bus driver for the Fox Chapel School District for over 22 years. She enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children Ellen K. (Uli) Reppermund of Indiana Township, Roland (Lynn) Kania of Indiana Township and Rainer (Nancy) Kania of Lake Worth, Fla., 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grand-children.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gustav H. Kania in 2006 and a son Walter Kania.
Family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. and from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am in the Dorseyville Alliance Church, 3703 Saxonburg Blvd., Dorseyville with the Rev.
